Got Data Centers?
Managed Data Holdings, a start-up data center operator acquired its third data center in less that 12 months. MDH, Fairax, Va., recently acquired Stargate, an Oakbrook, Ill.-based 86,000-square-foot data center. The acquisition follows two similar moves in the past 12 months or so. MDH last december acquied Data393, an Englewood, Colo.-base 30,000-square-foot data center. And last October, it purchased Intele-Net an Irvine, Calif.-based data center with 55,000 square feet of space. Atlanta Colocation and Boston Colocation also have a huge market in the colocation business. MDH was founded in June 2007 by former telecom execs, said CEO Peter Stevenson. Stevenson has an extensive background in managed hosting, data centers and colocation. Colocation is the prvisioning of space for a customer's telecommunications or computer equipment at the service provider's premises also know as a data center. Boston colocation services providers offer different space options for a full range of client colocation services needs. Atlanta colocation service providers offer Per U colocation services. Dallas colocation providers offer 1/4 rack/cabinet colocation services and more.
